A buildup of heavy metals is hard to avoid these days because of the foods we eat, and the environmental pollutants we breathe in.
Do you have asthma, allergies, brain fog, dizziness, skin rashes, fatigue, hair loss, forgetfulness, headaches, palpitations, numbness, or pain? If yes, then it’s important to remove the excess metals that contribute to these many symptoms.
Also linked to exposure to heavy metals are illnesses such as Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, Parkinson’s Disease, Alzheimer’s, and even Cancer.
Heavy metal toxicity occurs from the accumulation of certain metals in the body. We are exposed to metals through food, water, industrial chemicals (80,000+), medications, and polluted air.
Our bodies need small amounts of heavy metals such as zinc, copper, chromium, iron, and manganese. But, an accumulation of other metals such as arsenic, mercury, and lead can be very harmful. For example;
- Fish, shellfish, and rice contain arsenic. Rice accumulates more arsenic than any other food crop.
- Exposure to lead is unavoidable. Found in the paint of older homes, dust, soil, drinking water, air, medications, cosmetics, toys, and furniture.
- Mercury is very harmful and found in fish/shellfish, dental amalgams, vaccines, fluorescent light bulbs, and air pollution.
By design, the body is able to remove unwanted metals. Yet, it wasn’t designed to handle the extreme level of polluted air, chemicals, medications, and poor quality food that exist in today’s world.
There are some ways to aid the body and its elimination systems to rid the excess metals. One of them is to eat pesto. Yes, Pesto!

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (about 1 lemon)
Place coriander and oil into a blender and blend until chopped up.
Add garlic, nuts, and lemon juice and blend into a lumpy paste.

There are also other ways to flush heavy metals.
Bentonite clay is a binder that works at the cellular level to trap heavy metals and remove them from the body. Bentonite clay carries a negative (-) charge. Heavy metals, parasites, and industrial chemicals hold a positive charge (+). When they enter the body, they bind to the clay and exit via the elimination systems.
Taking a vitamin C supplement is an easy and practical way to omit toxins from your body over time. Studies show that vitamin C can reduce the accumulation of lead in the liver and kidney.
